Why this fabric
If you run an industrial workwear or PPE program, flame-retardant performance usually isn’t optional — it’s written into the spec. But FR is a finishing and verification problem, not simply a fabric you buy off the shelf: the same base cloth can pass or fail depending on how the FR finish is applied, how it holds up to washing, and which standard level your end-use actually requires. Getting that right is where a vertically integrated mill matters.
We apply the flame-retardant finish on our own dyeing and finishing lines, on base cloth we weave ourselves — either 100% cotton twill or 65/35 T/C workwear twill. Because the greige, dyeing and FR finishing all sit under one roof, we control the variables that decide FR results instead of hoping a converter got them right. Every program is tested per order to the requirement you give us, and we can supply third-party test reports with the goods rather than asking you to take the performance on trust.
We’d rather be straight about the boundaries: FR performance is tied to the specific standard and level you’re building to, and to how many wash cycles the garment has to survive — a finish specified for a light-duty program is not the same as one built for repeated industrial laundering. So we confirm exact base fabric, weight and FR specification per order, and we strongly encourage sample testing against your own protocol before bulk.
