Case Study: From a Workwear Trial to a Repeat Program of Uniforms and FR Bedding

Case StudyOctober 13, 2026

At a glance

  • Client: Workwear supplier in Australia
  • Started with: A trial order of T/C ripstop work uniforms
  • Expanded to: Custom-colored uniforms and flame-retardant bedding (sheets, quilts and pillows)
  • Outcome: Positive feedback on the first order, repeat orders with a wider product range

Where it started

The client came to us with a clear brief: durable work uniforms in a T/C ripstop that would stand up to daily wear. We supplied the fabric from our own mill and managed the garment making through our partner factories as a one-stop service. The client tested the first batch with their own customers before committing further.

Why they came back

The first order was well received, and the client returned on their own initiative. This time they wanted more than a repeat:

  • Custom uniforms: the same proven ripstop dyed to a new program color, plus extended sizes graded from the original patterns
  • FR bedding: fitted out in flame-retardant materials, including sheets in FR fabric and quilts and pillows with FR shells and FR filling

How we developed it

Bedding was a new category for this client, so we worked through the details with them before quoting:

  • Defined the FR scope together: which items needed flame retardancy, and what documentation the client needed to show for it
  • Solved practical constraints: where a specialty FR batting had an impractical minimum order, we proposed an FR fiberfill with close quilting that met the requirement in small quantities
  • Kept the fabric consistent: every item used the same ripstop construction and finish the client had already approved, so quality matched across uniforms and bedding
  • Quoted trial and bulk levels so the client could test the new items before scaling up

The result

Both programs were confirmed and the client has continued to order, with demand building for further repeats. For the client, the value was simple: one supplier who handled fabric, color, sizing, FR materials and making, and who was willing to develop a new category with them in small runs.

What this means for you

You don’t need a large first order to start. We can supply a trial, develop new items around what you already approved, and grow with the program. Tell us about your uniform or textile program and request samples.
