Why this fabric
More brand briefs now arrive with a recycled-content line already written in: a minimum share of recycled fiber, a GRS claim on the hangtag, and a supplier who can back it up with paperwork. The fabric still has to perform exactly like the virgin version it replaces.
We handle recycled programs on the same weaving, dyeing and finishing lines as our standard range, so the conversion is a yarn change rather than a new development. Recycled polyester (rPET) and recycled nylon run in the constructions buyers already know: polyester twill, pongee, nylon ripstop and taslon. Finishes carry over too, including PFC-free DWR and PU/PA coating for outdoor shells.
Two things are worth settling early. First, the recycled share: 100% recycled or a blend, and whether you need it stated per fiber. Second, documentation: GRS requires a traceable chain from yarn to fabric, so tell us the claim you plan to make and we will confirm the documents that go with the shipment. Recycled yarns can dye slightly differently from virgin, so we check shade on lab dips before bulk.
